With the help of my french minor I was able to complete international experience and engagement capstone by taking numerous French classes, which all focused on different global perspectives. In addition, I participated in various clubs at my university in hope of making a difference, meeting new people, developing longlife friendships, getting involved on campus and ultimately making a positive impact with my university community. I had the honor of being the social media coordinator for the FIU Pre-Vet Club for both Fall and Spring semester of my senior year. I tried to use the clubs social medial platform to educate other students on animal conservation, veterinary experiences, and community outreach. In addition, I was the social media coordinator for E-migos, which is an online platform that offers free tutoring services for students in pre-kindergaten to senior year of high school, who cannot afford tutors or come from minority communities. Lastly, I have the opportunity to volunteer as a research intern in the Crustacean Genomics and Systematics Lab, where I am surrounded by scientist. I have various roles in the lab including muscle tissue plucking, DNA sampling, photography of oceanic species, and ultimately assisting the PhD's in their scientific research and projects.
